Medik8 Balance Moisturiser and Glycolic Acid Activator
With their tried-and-tested ‘CSA philosophy’ – a hard-working marriage between vitamin C with sunscreen by day, and vitamin A by night – Medik8 seeks to create simple routines that result in healthy, ‘beautiful skin for life’. Aimed at mature skin to maintain a more youthful complexion, the goal is to uncloak the mystery surrounding anti-ageing skin care with results-driven products that don’t compromise on ethics. Specifically created with blemish-prone skin in mind, the Balance Moisturiser and Glycolic Acid Activator work in harmonious unison to balance your microbiome – the natural ecosystem that sits atop your skin. After using the Glycolic Acid Activator, your skin will eagerly lap up the Balance Moisturiser for noticeable results. Efficiently coupling prebiotics and probiotics, the Balance Moisturiser balances the microbiome – for a clearer and healthier complexion, courtesy of a match made in skin care heaven.
The Balance Moisturiser and Glycolic Acid Activator are two blemish-tackling maestros that work together to clear skin and give a healthy, radiant complexion. The Glycolic Acid Activator resurfaces by gently exfoliating the upper layers of skin, allowing for better absorption of the Balance Moisturiser.
When in need of an exfoliating, skin-saving boost, the Glycolic Acid Activator can be used two to three times a week – dissolving dead skin cells using AHA and allowing for greater penetration of the Balance Moisturiser. From here on out, blemishes are cancelled. Formulated to rebalance the skin’s microbiome using a clever duo of probiotics and prebiotics, the Balance Moisturiser feeds good bacteria and adds to the levels of live bacteria that sit on the skin’s surface. This encourages a clear complexion, as an unhealthy and compromised microbiome – often caused by pollution or harsh cleansing – results in unhappy, dry, blemish-prone skin. Lightweight and silky with a matte finish that looks stunning alone or under make up, the Balance Moisturiser houses cinnamon extract to reduce the levels of blemish-causing bacteria. Niacinamide also works hard to soothe redness and inflamed blemishes, while beta-Glucan – a natural extract from oats – provides comfort and encourages the skin to repair itself.
After cleansing and applying serums or treatments in the morning and evening, apply a small amount of Balance Moisturiser and blend evenly across the face, neck and décolletage.
For boosted performance and exfoliation, optionally use Glycolic Acid Activator two to three times a week. After cleansing in the evening, apply 4-6 drops to the face, neck and décolletage. Once dry, apply Balance Moisturiser. Do not mix Glycolic Acid Activator and Balance Moisturiser directly. If using a serum, apply Glycolic Acid Activator before, and Balance Moisturiser after.
